This position is with a company that specializes in manufacturing motor vehicle parts and accessories, primarily focusing on the automotive aftermarket and supplying OEMs such as Honda, Nissan, and General Motors. Responsibilities Design, program, and oversee the installation of machines and/or processes.Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.Build, program, or purchase necessary components for manufacturing.Plan project details and communicate with other departments to ensure project success.Support control systems plant-wide for new equipment. Essential Skills An Associate's Degree in engineering.3+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.Experience with CAD design, including plant layout and custom machine design.Familiarity with Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley PLC systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems is a plus. Work Environment The position is based in a foundry environment, which can be warm, while the paint process area is clean. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with very minimal overtime. The company values its employees highly and offers a secure and stable working environment, having only experienced one layoff in the past 35 years.
