Packaging Equipment Operator
for a contract opportunity with our client in
Havre de Grace, Maryland .
Overview
The role involves operating packaging equipment safely and efficiently, performing maintenance and troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with site procedures and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Operate packaging equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Understand and comply with site ESHQ procedures, cGMPs and SOPs. Perform field quality tests and document in SPC program. Perform basic maintenance, changeover, set up, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment. Correctly complete and submit work orders for equipment failures which requires maintenance. Clean and purge packaging equipment. Accountable for accurately documenting, packaging and cleaning activities in Packaging worksheets and Process Logbooks. Transfer of finished goods within the Inventory Management System. Safely and properly operate a forklift. Work effectively in teams to meet daily demand requirements. Accountable for Line performance and able to effectively communicate hourly status of line to affected personnel. Maintain a good attendance record within policy guidelines. Demonstrate a positive attitude and personal behavior towards peers, management, and company. Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision. Share knowledge with co-workers for training purposes. Qualifications
High School education or General Equivalence Diploma required Preferred: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Requirements
Must possess a good attitude and strong work ethic. Must be dependable and have a high degree of integrity. Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work independently and perform in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible to change. Ability to effectively communicate between team members and other departments. Ability to work in a production environment where heat, cold, dust and discomfort are common. Be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime (nights and/or weekends when needed). Ability to lift 40lbs on a consistent basis with repetitive motion. Ability to lift 50lbs on an occasional basis. Ability to perform physical tasks for 12 hour periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting. Ability to frequently climb flights of stairs and ladders, of multi-level building. Ability to frequently mount and dismount fork truck. Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Experience with pumps, valves and motors preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office platform preferred.
Shift
12hr shift 7AM-7PM rotating every 2 weeks, 48hrs week 1/36hrs week 2, then rotate to 7PM-7AM.
