Position Overview The UCR School of Medicine is seeking a Residency and Career Advisor to provide comprehensive career advising to medical students, especially those in their fourth year preparing for residency. Responsibilities include individual and group advising, workshop development, faculty coordination, and creating career resources. The role collaborates with Student Affairs and the Residency Development Specialist to support student success. This position offers a hybrid schedule: three days on campus and two days remote.

Its mission is to foster success through equitable access to resources and a diverse, inclusive environment. Key programs include the Office of Career & Residency Advising and the Office of Student Support & Wellness.
Salary and Requirements The salary range is $61,000 - $106,800 annually, with an expected pay scale up to $83,900. Candidates must have current work authorization; UCR does not sponsor visas. Applicants should meet the minimum educational and experience requirements, including a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 4-7 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with UC policies and medical school or residency settings.

Experience with needs assessment, workshop design, and event planning.
Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
