We are a small four-attorney office looking for an experienced litigation associate to help with challenging cases involving many aspects of real estate law. Our past work has included representation of property owners in lawsuits relating to habitability, HOA issues, premises liability, and property damage claims. We handle cases related to encroachments, neighbor disputes, trespass, nuisance, and a multitude of co-ownership issues. We have experienced a recent increase of litigation arising from landlord/tenant relations, such as rent board hearings, eviction actions, and negotiated buy-outs. We help clients navigate the difficult path to no-fault recovery of possession of residential rental properties through owner/relative move-in actions and Ellis Act termination litigation. Our work often involves the defense of individuals and businesses paid by their liability insurers. We will place extra value on candidates with prior experience in these areas. Our construction-related work involves review and litigation of construction matters. We also assist with negotiating sale/leasing transaction documents both at the time of creation or while in dispute. We have resolved significant cases involving disputes between contractors and property owners, thus any familiarity you have with building construction litigation will be well regarded. Our transactional business involves advising clients in the purchase and sale of commercial and residential property. We help owners with appealing property taxes, negotiating and drafting leases, and the creation and/or litigation of easements, licenses, and other use rights. We review and advise on insurance coverage and have been retained to draft, revise, and litigate TIC, partnership, and other co-ownership and CC&R agreements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
