This role involves representing clients in IRS audits, tax court, collection defense cases, and providing a range of transactional services for corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong tax background, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex tax and business issues. Location: Scottsdale, AZ Duties: Represent clients before the IRS in audits, tax court, and collection defense cases. Conduct legal research and analysis to support corporate clients in various transactional services. Draft business transactional documents, including mergers, reorganizations, acquisitions, and other corporate agreements. Draft and negotiate legal agreements and contracts. Draft estate planning documents, form LLCs, and create custom operating agreements. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents in the tax, estate planning, and business law fields. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in tax matters, transactional business matters, and/or estate planning. Strong tax background (CPA preferred). Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills. Active member of the Arizona State Bar. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: CPA preferred, but not required. Active membership in the Arizona State Bar is mandatory. Skills: Strong legal research skills, utilizing resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document management and case organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective negotiations with clients, IRS personnel, opposing counsel, and judges. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice.
