As the Head of Pricing & Profitability – Private Bank you will be responsible for providing strategic and analytical thought leadership on all aspects of pricing and profitability management for the businesses you support. Your responsibilities will also include directing the development of best in class pricing practices, analysis, and modeling to optimize risk adjusted profitability and return on equity. Additionally, you will work to ensure pricing strategies and new initiatives attain desired profitability hurdles within corporate risk appetite and develop strategies to balance growth and profitability within the competitive markets, channels and customer segments in which Citizens chooses to operate. Responsibilities



  • Directs profitability analysis and Pricing Committee Process for business area(s).

  • Oversees the preparation and analysis of product pricing and program financials on behalf of assigned area and develops executive level management presentations, business reviews, key findings and recommendations.

  • Proactively identifies new market opportunities and risks arising from competitive, regulatory and other internal and external factors.

  • Provides recommendations to enhance product, channel and customer profitability.

  • Ensures proper policies and procedures are in place to document pricing decisions.

  • Directs the development and maintenance of pricing and profitability models/pro formats to support new business initiatives.

  • Ensures the proper gathering of data and performance of analytics to properly backrest and validate models and documents assumptions that provide the basis for pricing and profitability measurement.

  • Collaborates closely with colleagues across the organization to develop and refine models.

  • Acts as lead financial expert on cross functional teams and expert panels to establish processes and assumptions necessary for developing financial analysis and business cases associated with potential new strategies.

  • Trains and develops other analysts or managers.

  • Organizes and plans workflows. Ensures effective departmental policies and procedures are developed and maintained.

  • Leads or participates on special projects needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelors Degree Required; 8-10+ years relevant work experience

  • Pricing Model & Strategy / Financial Reporting experience, Required - Ability to determine the best prices for products and services being offered by developing various models and weighing the advantages and disadvantages of each

  • Experience leading and supporting strategic initiatives with multiple stakeholders within a financial services or concierge banking environment, Required

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills and ability to articulate strategic concepts, lay out course of action and gain the confidence of others through proven expertise

  • Ability to operate and excel with some level of ambiguity / white space within an Agile environment, and think outside the box by keeping customer experience front and center

  • Risk and compliance mindset - Adheres to laws, regulations, guidelines, and specifications relevant to its business processes. Identifies, forecasts, and evaluates risks and navigates a way to avoid or limit their impact.

  • Technical expertise and familiarity with pricing software systems and tools

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: M-F
