Overview

GenScript operates as a Life Science CRO and offers enzyme and synthetic biology products, biologics development and manufacturing, and cell therapy. ProBio provides end-to-end CDMO services from drug discovery to commercialization in cell and gene therapy, vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug, including CMC support for plasmid and virus IND filings and clinical/commercial manufacturing. The role described here is for the San Francisco Bay Area territory.
Job Scope
The Sales Account Manager drives and supports sales efforts for GenScript products and services in the assigned territory by implementing sales/marketing strategies and leveraging knowledge of science and business to develop profitable initiatives and build sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Global Commercial Head to develop and implement territory sales strategies and tactics for products/services, new markets and new applications.
- Understand the customer’s research applications and align GenScript services and products to meet project requirements.
- Share market knowledge with Sales, TAM and Marketing teams through weekly field feedback.
- Introduce GenScript to new markets – Industrial/Academic/Governmental.
- Drive business expansion in collaboration with the technical support team (TAM) and FAS.
- Build and expand a business reference network to grow new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in life sciences, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of lab experience.
- Relevant sales experience (1–5 years) with a high level of technical and professional expertise.
- Knowledge of the Biological and CRO/CDMO markets or general biotech industry; emphasis on Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, and Cell Line products/services preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment.
- Ability to forecast sales within the territory on a weekly basis.
- Team player with strong analytical and time-management skills.
