Overview
Architect - Relocate to Saudi Arabia, Permanent Expat Relocation Package. This position requires full relocation to Saudi Arabia and is a permanent full-time expat relocation package. Please note only referred candidates will be contacted.
We are seeking an experienced Architect to join the Projects Realization Division within the Public Affairs Special Projects Department at Saudi Aramco. The division is responsible for planning, designing, reviewing architectural design and engineering, and overseeing the execution of high-quality, functional, and sustainable non-industrial buildings that support the company’s operational and community development goals. The Architect will lead the delivery of architectural designs for a broad range of non-industrial projects, including master planning, site developments, and building facilities, and will be involved throughout all phases of design and construction to ensure performance, aesthetic, and regulatory standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Develop project briefs (project scopes).
- Develop and review architectural/masterplan concept and schematic design proposals.
- Develop and review architectural detailed design packages and scope of work for contract bidding and construction.
- Ensure designs and engineering packages comply with Saudi and international standards, building codes, and internal policies.
- Review material specifications, construction documents, technical assessments and evaluations, and provide construction support including review and approval of submittals, technical queries, and site inspections.
- Provide project status updates.
- Lead the design, development, and coordination of architectural projects to align with client objectives and project requirements.
- Deliver high-quality designs balancing functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and review architectural documentation including drawings, renderings, technical specifications, and material selections.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, zoning regulations, and internal design standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and constructible design solutions.
- Conduct site visits and provide architectural input during construction to maintain design integrity and resolve field issues.
- Contribute to the development of design standards, guidelines, and best practices for non-industrial projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized and accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional certification or license (e.g., RIBA, AIA, LEED AP) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the design and delivery of non-industrial buildings (e.g., commercial, residential, civic, institutional).
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage complex architectural projects from concept through construction.
- Strong understanding of international building codes, accessibility standards, sustainability practices, and urban planning principles.
- Proficient in creating 2D drawings and 3D visualization to effectively communicate design intent.
