About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the strategic management of its investment portfolio, with a strong focus on aligning capital with the organization\'s mission of achieving health equity and supporting inclusive, powerful, and healthy communities. The CIO will be responsible for developing and executing an investment policy and strategy that not only meets financial objectives but also reflects the values of the organization, including a commitment to diversity and social impact. This role involves overseeing the internal investment team, managing external advisors, and ensuring that the investment activities are in line with the company\'s purpose and values. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a deep understanding of the investment ecosystem, a track record of producing strong, risk-adjusted returns, and the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities for the CIO include leading the investment team, diversifying asset managers, and partnering with impact colleagues to identify and evaluate social impact investments. The role requires a leader with at least 15 years\' experience in investing, a Master\'s degree, and a CFA or other advanced degree in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endowment management, a technical understanding of investment strategies, and a proven ability to align investment assets with mission objectives. They should be skilled in working with boards and investment committees, have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to the values of trust, partnership, and anti-racism. The CIO will also be expected to stay informed on investment trends, conduct risk assessments, and represent the organization in thought leadership activities within the national investment community.
