Litigation Associate – Top Firm (Orange County)

3-6 year Litigation Associate Needed for a top firm in Orange County. Hybrid schedule. Salary ranges from $250,000 to $370,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, witness preparation, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
  • Handle complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, and investigations.
  • Provide counsel and advice on consumer protection, advertising, employment, entertainment, and financial services litigation.
  • Advocate for clients in intellectual property and patent litigation cases.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct and manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Conduct witness interviews and prepare witnesses for trial.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to achieve the best possible results for clients.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in litigation focusing on commercial litigation, white collar defense, and investigations.
  • Experience in consumer protection, advertising, employment, entertainment, and financial services litigation a plus.
  • Experience in intellectual property and patent litigation.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the discovery process and trial preparation, including conducting depositions and witness interviews.
  • Strong drafting skills with experience drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prior experience as a judicial law clerk or law clerk preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
