Responsibilities

• Review and test organizations’ internal controls to provide audit advisory services to clients.
• Prepare audit strategy and business plan for client engagements, including setting budgets and scheduling.
• Examine and analyze accounting records to prepare financial reports concerning the financial status of clients’ establishment and operating procedures.
• Resolve all legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during the audit engagement.
• Provide accounting insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, including insights into complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, share-based compensation, business combinations and internal controls.
• Execute firm policies and support firm’s audit services, including thought leadership, quality control, training and development, recruiting and collaboration with others.

Minimum requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or related field and 8 years of financial accounting/audit experience (5 years progressive post-baccalaureate). Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or related field and 7 years of financial accounting/audit experience.
• 4 years of experience supervising planning and execution on audits of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR / SOX) in accordance with U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP.
• 4 years of experience supervising planning, execution, reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP.
• 4 years of experience supervising audit teams of two or more staff members.
• 4 years of audit experience including SOX (ICFR) with a public accounting firm registered with PCAOB.
• 2 years of experience with audits of management review controls and testing of information produced by the entity.
• 2 years of experience using audit documentation software.
• Active US CPA certification; or foreign certificate in accountancy with sufficient coursework/experience as determined by the state Board of Accountancy to obtain US CPA certification.
• Domestic travel up to 30% to serve client needs.
