Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to set the organization’s strategic direction and translate vision into actionable, measurable goals.
  • Revenue Growth & Fundraising: Drive revenue diversification and growth beyond government grants through donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, foundation support, and innovative fundraising initiatives.
  • Board Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Board, leveraging their expertise and networks to advance the mission and ensure effective governance.
  • Operational & Financial Oversight: Ensure strong financial management, operational efficiency, and accountability for results, aligning resources with mission priorities.
  • Program Development & Advocacy: Champion client-centered services, strengthen program quality, and advocate for survivors through policy engagement at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Culture & Team Development: Inspire, empower, and mentor staff to create a high-performing, collaborative, and supportive work culture rooted in transparency, integrity, and accountability.
  • Public Presence & Community Engagement: Serve as the public face of Chrysalis, representing the mission with donors, partners, government officials, and the broader community with confidence and credibility.

Qualifications

  • Executive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, preferably in human services or related fields.
  • Proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and revenue diversification.
  • Strong experience in financial and operational oversight with a history of driving organizational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in program development, policy advocacy, and government relations.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills; capable of serving as a compelling and charismatic spokesperson.
  • Experience building high-performing teams and leading cultural transformation within an organization.
