Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, transforming how we sell and service flight and ancillary products to enhance the overall customer experience. Our Retail Strategy focuses on dynamically manufacturing products, offering the most relevant options to customers in their preferred channels, and servicing those products when plans change. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the vision and implementation of our retail product catalog, which is central to Delta’s retail vision and includes the ability to offer and service bundled products.

A successful candidate is motivated by solving problems, curious about current processes, and capable of thinking creatively to identify solutions. Ownership and initiative are vital, with cross-functional thinking on how the catalog will be extended and integrated within the Delta retailing ecosystem. The ideal candidate can create and execute a big-picture vision for their products from early development stages and lead software teams to execute the product vision and roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and formulate the business vision for the product catalog. Translate vision into technical requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal IT and business teams and external providers to support the development and implementation of Delta’s third-party APIs.
  • Represent Delta in industry forums such as the IATA Offer & Order Product Manufacturing Working Group and ATPCo Dynamic Offers Design Team.
  • Build an executable product roadmap that balances business value, timing needs, and development complexity.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact to facilitate development requests.
  • Incorporate a comprehensive view of products for sale across both internal and external platforms.
  • Act as a manager for agile development teams.
  • Ensure IT development properly leverages backend mechanisms and achieves desired business goals.
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally to ensure functionality flows through to customer and agent-facing channels consistently and adds expected value.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Need To Succeed)

  • Proven success in understanding and managing complex processes.
  • Experience translating a business vision into written technical requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business leaders and technical developers.
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups in a time-sensitive, team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile environment as a Product Manager/Owner.
  • Combination of at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Management, internal or external channels, Project Management, and Business Intelligence/Data Analytics.
  • Background in the travel industry with working knowledge of IATA, ATPCo, and/or Global Distribution Systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
