The Principal Solution Architect is responsible for the leadership, analysis, and design of the Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA) for the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) group supporting our growth projections and digital experiences vision.

Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise solution architecture modeling and design by collaborating with cross-domain architects and leadership to deliver domain-driven, scalable, service-based solutions for M&A.
- Partner with engineering teams to drive design and architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Implement and enforce architecture governance to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality across solutions.
- Develop blueprint architectures, including multi-year transition plans and recommendations to drive transformation and modernization for M&A and enterprise initiatives.
- Collaborate with business, product, and technology teams early in the M&A and product lifecycles to infuse end-to-end architecture thinking (functional and non-functional).
- Craft high-level designs early in the lifecycle and elaborate them into detailed designs as conversations progress.
- Partner with Lean Portfolio Management to provide a high-level vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
- Assist the Agile Program Management Office (ACDC) in identifying and designing development value streams.
- Participate in strategy development for building and maintaining the modern architectural runway via Enabler Epics.
- Promote Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevSecOps capabilities.
- Facilitate reuse of code, components, and proven patterns to support modern architecture.
- Deliver architecture aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and advocate for models and patterns that guide solution decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on design and implementation experience in IT.
- 3+ years of experience in application development, middleware, database management or operations, security, or integration.
- Prior cloud experience.
- Previous experience as a Solution Architect.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, especially wealth management.
- Experience with domain-driven architecture, microservices, and API design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS, Glue, Lambda, and RDS.
- Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or Kinesis.
- Proficiency in defining current and future state architecture models.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud platform, with strong understanding of AWS security best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience migrating monolithic on-prem applications to the cloud using refactoring, re-architecting, and re-platforming approaches, including 12-factor methodology.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, automated deployments, and containerization.

- Ability to consult with customers to solve business problems by adapting current technology or leveraging emerging technologies for competitive advantage, especially in support of M&A strategies.
- Skilled in conducting demonstrations and presentations to executive management of prototypes and proofs-of-concept.
- Understanding of agile methods (SAFe) and the ability to support agile product teams by advising on opportunities, impact, and risks, while managing technical and architectural debt.

Pay Range
$151,388-$252,313/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
