Overview
Tax Director (with ASC 740 experience) needed for a well established technology company based in Irvine. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's tax function, including compliance, planning, and strategy. This is a high-visibility role that will interact with senior leadership and contribute significantly to the company's financial strategy.
Base pay range
$170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the company\'s tax function, including compliance, planning, and strategy. Work with senior leadership to align tax strategy with financial goals. Ensure accurate federal and state tax compliance for corporations and partnerships. Provide guidance on ASC 740 accounting for income taxes and related disclosures. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance tax efficiency and risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in federal and state taxation
- Preparation and review experience of federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnerships
- Active CPA preferred
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred
- Management experience
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to handle extremely sensitive information requiring discretion and confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills
