CLA Texas’s Private Client Services Team is hiring a Principal or Signing Director to work with private high net worth clients and the entities that serve their wealth portfolio, including real estate holdings, small S-corps and partnerships, and their investment portfolio and trusts, providing tax advice to help build generational wealth.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Principal or Signing Director role:

  • Consult clients by delivering a full range of gift, estate, and trust tax planning and consulting services, including planning strategies to minimize estate taxes, business succession, and asset protection; review trust, estate, gift, and high net worth individual income tax returns.
  • Collaborate with CLA’s Wealth Advisory practice and other client professionals.
  • Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
  • Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
  • Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
  • Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
  • Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
  • Review complex individual, pass-through entity, and partnership tax returns.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm, focusing on high net worth clients with emphasis in gift, estate, and trust planning and compliance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Active CPA; JD or EA certification may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
  • Ability to work with clients to help them succeed strategically.
