Overview
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Lending to lead and oversee all aspects of our credit union’s lending operations. This includes loan program planning and design, underwriting, servicing, collections, reporting, and providing strategic advice to the Credit Union Board and Management on all lending-related matters.

Position Details

Primary Work Shift: Day
Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Compensation Range: $25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience
Job Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of the Credit Union’s lending portfolio and staff, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and strategic directives from senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate new loan products and services, including marketing strategies, underwriting standards, servicing procedures, collections, and reporting, to drive loan growth while maintaining portfolio health.
- Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on lending matters, including realistic loan volume targets, interest margin expectations, and operational expense planning during the annual budget process; provide ongoing quarterly performance reports against budget.
- Manage daily operations of the Credit Union branch located at UHS Binghamton General Hospital, ensuring high levels of member service, staff performance, and operational efficiency.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Credit Union Management Team, supporting daily operations, long-term planning, and organizational initiatives; serve as interim CEO when directed by the CEO or Board, or per the Succession Plan.
- Serve as a positive representative of the Credit Union to staff, members, sponsor organizations, and the broader community; attend industry and local events as needed.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and five years related experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate Degree and ten years related experience
