Position Overview
Lead the finance function across the United States and Mexico as the single point of accountability to the Global CFO. Manage the financial operation that underpins profitable growth, compliance, and risk management for all North American subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax/tariff compliance: Translate USMCA, U.S. IRS/AMS/ISF regulations to ensure compliance and tax efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the North America sales head and operation head on pricing, capital allocation, and profitability improvement (e.g., cross border logistics, renewable-energy projects).
- Own monthly close, forecasting, annual operating plan and ensure dual GAAP reporting (U.S. GAAP & IFRS) and seamless consolidation into global books.
- Drive working-capital optimization (DSO, DPO, inventory turns) to contribute no less than $5M USD operating cashflow improvement in 2 years.
- Partner with operation to drive productivity by identifying material/labor/IDL inefficiencies, monitoring cost optimization progress, pushing across company initiative to improve EBIT
- Capital & Treasury: Liaise with global treasury & tax team to ensure smooth daily cash management.
- Provide ROI analysis and review to optimize capital allocation for the region.
- Digital & Process Excellence: Sponsor ERP harmonization across plants, DCs, and 3PLs; push real-time margin analytics to the sales force via Power BI/Tableau.
- Automate 80% of transactional accounting within 18 months.
- Build and mentor an 8-person finance organization (FP&A, Accounting, Commercial Finance).
- Instill a performance culture that balances North American diversity with global values.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership; minimum 3 years as Finance Controller in North America.
- Proven track record in multi-site manufacturing, logistics, energy, or high growth SaaS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- Active CPA (U.S.) or CPA, CA (Canada) required.
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, Canadian IFRS, USMCA customs/tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency with SAP or Oracle, Hyperion/HFM, Power BI, SQL.
- Understanding business language and able to translate strategic goals to operational goals in communication with management team.
- Bilingual English (Mandarin or Spanish) preferred.
- Primary base: New Providence (NJ), or Reynosa (CDMX).
- Travel: up to 30% across North America.
