Reliability Engineer, Intelligence Systems at Anduril Industries. Anduril is a defense technology company focused on transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. What You'll Do
- Support and review system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy against requirements.
- Lead Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement product improvements for reliability.
- Develop Qualification Test plans to ensure appropriate requirements coverage.
- Work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure inspection and acceptance test gates are in place and documented against requirements.
- Develop and refine assembly, integration, and testing processes to optimize build reliability and reduce time-to-deploy, while maintaining high performance standards.
- Perform Weibull analysis using data from qualification campaigns and fielded assets.
- Develop Maintainability prediction models using MIL-HDBK-472.
- Proactively identify product risks and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Use data analysis to highlight key problem areas for deployed products, propose corrective actions, and drive to closure.
- Support Development Milestone Reviews by identifying appropriate entry and exit criteria, and collaborate with Quality Engineering to guide hand-off to production.
- Develop and implement reliability processes to improve and streamline design, manufacturing, and deployment operations for rapid development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design/Development Engineer, Process Engineer, or Test Engineer.
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience with safety-critical hardware and software systems in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Experience or familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-516C, and MIL-STD-1629.
- Experience setting up a Reliability Engineering framework for a product or program, including support of production testing, field testing, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Experience with generating qualification testing requirements and executing tests to characterize product behavior and performance.
- Failure investigation/analysis experience with proven problem-solving and prevention of recurrence.
- Design Review Experience (PDR, CDR, MRR) and ability to present to leadership.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience with RTCA/DO-330, DO-254, DO-178, MIL-HDBK-217 Plus, MIL-HDBK-472, ARP-4754, or ARP-4761.
- Expertise in reliability analysis techniques (FMEA/FMECA, Weibull, Fault Tree Analysis).
- Experience with risk management, change control, and HITL/SITL for software/firmware.
- Test Plan development, fixture design, test setup, and hands-on test execution experience.
- Experience with HALT/HASS, Environmental/Mechanical Testing.
- Experience with Relyence, Teamcenter, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Technical writing experience developing standards, specifications, and policies.
- Experience drafting requirements for software and hardware.
Salary
US Salary Range: $142,000—$213,000 USD
