Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers rely on KLA to ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. The Global Products Group (GPG) creates KLA's metrology and inspection products. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for advanced IC manufacturing. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series, which use Broadband Plasma technology to detect defects at high speeds for inline defect monitoring.
Job Description / Qualifications
- Design, build, and prototype testing of the next generation broad band plasma (BBP) wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Collaborate with system, optical, electrical, and software engineers to derive subsystem requirements and conduct design reviews.
- CAD modeling: Siemens NX or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with multiple precision mechanisms development: actuator selection (motors, pneumatics), tolerance analysis, lifetime evaluation, optics mounting, alignment and adjustment design.
- Design experience in vacuum systems is a plus.
- CAE: thermal and structural simulation; ANSYS experience preferred.
- Qualify and release the mechanism design and provide on-site manufacturing support.
- Collaborate with manufacturing during product ramp-up to support and troubleshoot product issues.
- Full-time on-site work required.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) degree with related work experience of 3 years; Master's degree with related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's degree with related work experience of 8 years.
Base Pay Range: $134,800.00 - $229,200.00 Annually.
