Responsibilities
- Handle health care litigation matters in federal and state courts.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of health care law issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediations and arbitrations.
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to the False Claims Act, Stark Law, licensing inquiries, medical staff and hospital issues, or payor reimbursement.
- Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in health care litigation, medical malpractice defense, or relevant litigation experience.
- Strong experience in federal and state court practice and procedure.
- Substantive experience in areas such as the False Claims Act, Stark Law, licensing inquiries, medical staff and hospital issues, or payor reimbursement is a plus.
- High level of academic achievement.
- Solid law firm experience.
- Superb research, writing, and communication skills.
