Primary Job Title:Material HandlerAlternate/Related Job Titles: Warehouse Associate Logistics Material Handler Production Support Specialist Forklift Operator Inventory Control AssistantLocation:Newark, DEOnsite Flexibility:OnsiteContract Details: Position Type: Contract (potential conversion to FTE within 12 months) Contract Duration: 12 months Start: 09/29/2025 End: 09/28/2026 Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch, overtime possible)Job Summary:The Material Handler is responsible for the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials in a fast-paced production environment. This role supports production operations and customer requirements, ensuring safe and efficient use of forklifts and pallet jacks, maintaining accuracy in inventory systems, and complying with workplace safety policies.Key Responsibilities: Perform unloading, storage, picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping of materials Support repetitive assembly and packaging of company products including software, medical products, PC boards, and accessories Complete packaging tasks including labeling, operating small equipment, sorting, and box assembly/disassembly Maintain required documentation in compliance with government and company standards Execute basic computer transactions for receiving, transfers, kitting, shipping, and returns Perform and record cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy Operate material handling equipment (MHE) including forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently Support production operations and meet customer delivery requirementsPhysical Demands: Sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly Work around moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels Wear safety shoes with impact and compression protectionRequired Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree beneficial) 1-3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or related roles Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to follow written procedures and communicate effectively Experience using computer systems for material transactions Team-oriented mindset with strong safety awareness Completion of certification and training for safe operation of forklifts/pallet jacksNice-to-Have Experience: Basic experience with Oracle systems Knowledge of warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution processesRequired Skills: Forklift and pallet jack operation Inventory management and cycle counting Microsoft Office proficiencyPreferred Skills: Oracle system familiarity Warehouse/distribution process understanding Packaging and assembly supportAdditional Skills: Labeling, sorting, and manual packaging Compliance with safety/security procedures Effective written and verbal communicationBenefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:Innovative medical technology company empowering healthier lives.
