Job Description: Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift) Location: Person Memorial Hospital, Roxboro, NC Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Schedule: Every other weekend required
Position Summary: Person Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team for the night shift. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold the standards of excellence in patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Unit Details:
- ICU with 6 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3:1
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Common diagnosis/treatment: COPD exacerbation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
- Minimum of two years ICU experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work every other weekend
