Ability to follow isolation precautions. Description: This position is for a medical surgical registered nurse. The nurse will primarily care for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses. Experience with oncology patients is a plus. Chemotherapy and biotherapy administration skills are essential. The nurse will manage patients with various diagnoses including AKI, sepsis, and cancer. This role requires floating to similar units and alternate care locations as needed. The nurse must work every other weekend. Increased patient ratios may occur during high census periods. Attendance at monthly staff meetings is necessary. The role includes participation in a storm or hurricane team. Candidates may be required to respond during catastrophic events or disasters. EKG testing must be successfully completed prior to start. Despite the challenges, the position offers valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
