Trademark Paralegal
for the Trademark Portfolio Services department of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. The Trademark Paralegal will assist attorneys in all aspects of trademark portfolio management, copyright portfolio management, and IP due diligence. Morgan Lewis supports flexible working arrangements. This position can be based in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C., with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.
Flexibility with overtime is required. Key responsibilities include: Preparing applications for trademark and service mark registration. Preparing ancillary prosecution and maintenance filings. Handling Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filings and record title updates. Assisting with trademark and copyright due diligence. Performing online preliminary trademark clearance searches and preparing search guides. Preparing applications for copyright registrations. Drafting correspondence related to trademark prosecution and maintenance. Monitoring deadlines and coordinating with attorneys to keep clients informed. Performing other assigned tasks. Experience and qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 2-3 years of trademark prosecution/maintenance experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Paralegal certificate preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in legal research and investigation. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. Strong prioritization and adaptability skills.
