Monday - Friday / 8:30am-5:00pm or 1:00pm-9:30pm Requirements:

MUST BE LICENSED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES MUST BE BILINGUAL Responsibilities

Provide and ensure competent, safe, quality, and professional care to clients according to applicable standards and regulations, following supervisor directives. Respond to clients’ needs during emotional or physical distress. Determine client eligibility and conduct initial assessments professionally and timely. Explain program details, client rights, confidentiality, and costs clearly to clients. Develop treatment plans based on assessments, identifying client strengths, problems, and needs. Assist clients and families through exploration, attitude examination, and decision-making. Coordinate services and resources, liaising with agencies and professionals to meet treatment goals. Provide information on addiction and available services to clients and families. Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries professionally and promptly. Identify unmet client needs and facilitate support system utilization. Collaborate with peers and professionals for comprehensive care. Motivate clients to actively participate and adhere to treatment and continuing care programs. Maintain an accessible case management system. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred. Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or Counselor Intern required. Experience may offset formal education requirements. If in recovery, at least two years of continuous sobriety required. Reliable transportation needed. Ability to work independently and with resistant behaviors. Strong communication skills and confidentiality adherence. Knowledge of chemical dependency treatment and associated disorders. Willingness to follow facility policies and demonstrate professional ethics.
