Job Title: Business Litigation Associate
A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Associate to join its dynamic team in Las Vegas, NV. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on complex commercial litigation matters in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, particularly in civil procedure, and be eager to further develop their skills in business disputes. Responsibilities:
Manage a variety of commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, business torts, and other legal matters related to business. Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and represent clients in hearings and trial preparations. Provide strategic legal advice to clients and develop case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes. Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to assess case developments and formulate litigation tactics. Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions, ensuring efficient case management. Minimum Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation or related legal matters. Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes. Experience in taking and defending depositions, with court experience. Admitted to the Nevada bar, or eligible for admission. Additional bar memberships (Arizona, California, or Colorado) are a plus. Exceptional academic credentials and outstanding written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications:
Must be admitted to the Nevada bar, or eligible for admission. Additional bar certifications (Arizona, California, or Colorado) are a plus. Skills:
Strong understanding of civil litigation and commercial legal principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proven ability to handle complex legal cases and tasks efficiently.
