Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems of heavy equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all repairs performed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment availability and efficiency.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- TWIC Card or eligibility to obtain one is required.
- Ability to pass an in-person interview, medical examination, drug test, and background check.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
