The Opportunity Our client is a top-ranked litigation firm with a longstanding reputation for excellence in insurance and complex commercial defense matters. The firm’s New York office is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in litigation. While prior insurance coverage experience is a plus, it’s not required—what matters most is a strong legal acumen, attention to detail, and the desire to build a long-term practice in this area. Key Responsibilities - Handle insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution - Draft coverage opinions, correspondence, and briefing in coverage disputes - Analyze complex policy language and legal issues - Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective litigation strategies - Maintain responsiveness and high-quality service for a diverse client base - Meet court and internal deadlines efficiently Candidate Requirements - JD from an accredited U.S. law school - Admission to practice in New York (mandatory) - 1+ years of litigation experience (insurance coverage preferred) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Judicial clerkship and/or federal court experience considered a plus - Base salary range of $115,000 – $160,000, depending on experience - Performance-based bonus opportunities - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, life and disability insurance - Generous PTO and hybrid flexibility Why This Role? - Top-tier firm with a strong national presence and award-winning diversity initiatives - Career-building opportunity to specialize in a complex and growing legal practice area - Supportive, collaborative environment where attorneys are valued and empowered - Hybrid work model for greater flexibility and balance Seniority level
