Uncrewed Systems (UxS) , a business group within HIIs Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software. HII creates advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications. Serving customers in more than 30 countries, HII provides design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels (USVs). Requisition Number: 25263 Required Travel: 11 - 25% Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt Anticipated Salary Range: $120,360.00 - $171,943.00 Security Clearance: Secret Level of Experience: Mid Location: Onsite in Pocasset, MA Responsibilities Directs all phases of program/projects from inception through completion. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing programs/projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes program milestones and monitors adherence to plans/schedules. Facilitates the appointment of individuals to project delivery teams. Backlog management/execution, planning analysis, and exception reporting. Determines reasons and coordinates solutions for production manufacturing shortfalls. Determines reasons and plans response for shortfalls in program revenue targets. Manages and tracks non-recurring engineering (NRE) expensing and billing. Facilitates regular, professional team meetings across program team with active follow-up action items. Communicates complex issues/gain consensus with the engineering, production, quality, and other stakeholders. Understands materials and enterprise resource planning. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Review customer solicitations and manages the preparation of timely and accurate cost, management, and technical proposals to achieve the solicitations requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of a complex program(s). Responsible for providing program management oversight to a single customer requiring coordination of program requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Programs may be based out of a single location using established technologies to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands services with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program. What We Are Looking For
6 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with a Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) Experience in an Earned Value Management environment This position requires business travel and is an onsite position in Pocasset, MA Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
