Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from The Phoenix Group Business Intelligence & Analytics Solutions Direct the design, rollout, and enhancement of enterprise-wide BI and analytics initiatives that align with organizational priorities. Create and manage dashboards, self-service reporting tools, and data-driven products that support decision-making across departments. Identify and incorporate new data sources and technologies to strengthen the analytics environment. Partnership & Strategic Guidance Serve as the bridge between leadership teams and technical staff to turn business requirements into effective analytics outcomes. Advise executives on data opportunities that can enhance revenue, reduce costs, and promote innovation. Measure and report the business impact of analytics programs through clearly defined performance indicators. SQL Development & Performance Tuning Develop, refine, and maintain complex SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and data modeling. Apply optimization techniques and conduct peer code reviews to ensure high-performing and reliable queries. Safeguard data integrity, availability, and scalability across platforms. Data Modeling & Infrastructure Build and sustain logical and physical data models to meet analytical and BI needs. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to improve schemas, strengthen data warehouse design, and evolve data systems. Help shape data architecture strategies that grow with changing business objectives. Governance, Standards & Compliance Promote best practices in data governance, security, and integration. Establish and maintain metadata, lineage tracking, and catalog standards. Ensure adherence to data privacy laws and industry regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Technical Leadership & Collaboration Lead technical reviews and influence architecture decisions for analytics projects. Mentor peers and share expertise across analytics and engineering teams. Act as a trusted technical partner to multiple business units, fostering innovation in data practices. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline. Experience: At least 5 years in analytics, BI, or a related function. Advanced SQL skills with expertise in optimization and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques for BI platforms and warehouses. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, or Sigma. Understanding of statistical and mathematical analysis methods. Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and metadata best practices. Familiarity with governance principles and compliance frameworks. Additional Skills: Strategic mindset with strong relationship-building capabilities. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in dynamic settings. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
