We guide products through the execution cycle, focusing on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to users. The auction is the heart of our Search Ads business. This is a highly sophisticated system that decides which ads are shown for a given query, how these ads are ranked, and how much advertisers pay per click. We are a data-driven team with a user-focused mindset, aiming to show relevant and helpful ads that meet user needs while driving value for advertisers. Google Ads powers the open internet with technology that connects people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. Our teams build advertising products across search, display, shopping, travel, video, and analytics, delivering measurable results for businesses of all sizes. Salary information is provided as part of the job posting. The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed in the posting with bonus, equity, and benefits determined by location and other factors. Responsibilities
Drive development and secure buy-in for a product goal that defines the overall product narrative and direction, delivering outcomes greater than the sum of its parts. Lead and harmonize processes to define, identify, collect, and track product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative, for new or existing products or ventures. Develop deep insights into user and advertiser needs and translate these insights into product requirements. Validate market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, business). Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role. 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch. Experience with ranking, content retrieval systems, or machine learning model development. Preferred qualifications
Master's degree in a technology or business related field. 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders. 4 years of experience presenting technical topics to executive leadership. Experience with auction theory and related disciplines (e.g., game theory). Experience with Ads Quality products. Ability to communicate complex topics and switch between high-level strategy and low-level details. Equal Opportunity
