Incumbent is responsible for all aspects of UCI's Credentials Verification Organization (CVO), including developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and workflows compliant with NCQA and Joint Commission requirements for the CVO. The CVO Director oversees HR-related activities along with delegated credentialing functions for UPS providers. The CVO Director creates and exemplifies a culture of excellence and customer service in all processes with internal and external customers. What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of MS Office products Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to plan strategically Strong knowledge of Joint Commission JCAHO, NCQA, and Title 22 regulations Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum of 5 years experience in credentialing clinical providers Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology CPCS and/or CPMSM Certified Ability to persuade or influence people to take appropriate action Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to coordinate and resolve issues in a timely manner Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change 3-5 years of project management experience Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of University policies and procedures Dual Certification in CPMSM, CPCS, or CPHQ Bachelor's degree Compensation and Benefits
