On behalf of our client, a highly regarded elite boutique investment bank, we are seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead corporate finance coverage efforts in the Chicago market. This is a key leadership role for someone with strong local relationships and a track record of origination and execution across M&A and the full suite of corporate finance products. Serve as a senior coverage banker responsible for originating and executing corporate finance transactions across a variety of sectors in the Chicago and greater Midwest region. Lead M&A transactions (both buy-side and sell-side) from pitch to close. Advise clients across a comprehensive range of corporate finance solutions, including: Debt Advisory (leveraged finance, refinancing, recapitalizations) Equity Advisory (IPO readiness, private placements, public equity issuance) Strategic Advisory (valuations, fairness opinions, shareholder activism defense) Capital Raising (debt and equity in public and private markets) Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives, boards, and financial sponsors. Collaborate with internal sector and product specialists to deliver high-impact solutions. Lead and mentor junior banking professionals, contributing to a high-performance culture. Candidate Profile
10–15+ years of investment banking experience, with a strong focus on M&A and corporate finance advisory. Deep coverage experience in the Chicago market with an established network of client relationships. Demonstrated ability to originate and lead complex transactions independently. Strong technical skills and strategic advisory expertise across all major corporate finance products. Collaborative leadership style and a drive to build a growing platform. Seniority level
