Dean of the School of Business & Communication Chaminade University of Honolulu Seeking a humble, team-driven academic leader to guide our School of Business & Communication with integrity, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to Chaminade’s mission of service. The next Dean will steward this mission while preserving a collegial culture in which faculty, staff and students care for one another and for the institution we serve. The School of Business & Communication prepares graduates to lead with innovation, ethical decision-making and a deep sense of service. The successful candidate will understand the cultural context of Hawaii or be willing to learn and will advance academic quality, strengthen enrollment and develop programs aligned with the needs of Hawaii, the Pacific region and beyond. The Dean will build partnerships with alumni, donors, and industry leaders while stewarding resources with transparency and fiscal discipline and translating strategic priorities into action. Advance student success, retention, and graduation Expand enrollment and diversify program offerings Strengthen industry and community partnerships Maintain accreditation and uphold academic excellence Build faculty capacity and foster a culture of teamwork Lead with humility, transparency, and service to mission Advance Chaminade’s Marianist and Catholic mission Qualifications

Required Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DBA) from an accredited institution Experience as a full-time faculty member in Business or a closely related field Minimum five years of higher education experience, including significant administrative responsibilities Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and team-building skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to foster a collegial, inclusive and mission-driven environment Experience with budgeting, enrollment and recruitment efforts Ability to engage effectively with faculty, students, alumni, donors and industry partners Preferred Administrative experience as a Chair, Director, Assistant/Associate Dean or Dean Experience with accreditation, assessment and new program development Experience working in Hawaii or the Pacific Islands region Experience at a Marianist, Catholic or faith-based institution Fundraising and donor cultivation experience Experience with online learning strategy and delivery Record of working across diverse constituencies to advance institutional goals Position Information

Reporting:

This position reports to the Provost & Senior Vice President and is a key part of the leadership team. The Dean serves as a voting member of the Dean’s Council, Academic Council and the University’s Senior Leadership Council. Hours:

Full-time, exempt position with academic rank and faculty retreat rights for qualified applicants. Typical schedule is 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday) with possible additional hours for project cycles; some evenings and weekends may be required. Appointment:

Competitive salary and benefits package; anticipated salary range $200,000 to $220,000 annually. Application Information
