Overview
Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) is a multinational company focused on packaging and protective solutions. The Territory Business Manager reports to the Regional Director of Sales and is a key member of the Industrial Channel Distributor focused sales team. The primary mission is to maintain and manage distributor relationships at the local level and to learn and present the value of IPG's multiple product lines, "THE BUNDLE". Responsibilities
Act as the quarterback at the distributor, promoting IPG programs and product solutions to effectively sell the bundle to distributor partners within the assigned territory. Be accountable for revenue and net CM$ for all distributors and products in the territory, collaborating with partner Inside Sales Reps and Territory Account Representatives. Be the primary customer contact for Elite, Premier, and Major Account local distribution within the territory, driving the benefits of the Sapphire Program. Serve as the tape expert for the territory. Provide resources and act as a liaison to distributors to promote and grow IPG's full product suite. Develop distribution partners through training of their DSRs, conduct joint end-user calls, and broaden support of the IPG product offering. Manage distributor health and conduct quarterly Sapphire business reviews to maintain and develop relationships. Collaborate with Business Development Specialists and Technical Application Specialists to assist distributors and end-users in finding solutions that meet needs. Run product trials and evaluations through the sales cycle. Maintain strict CRM usage in a routine and timely manner with quality targets and sales activities. Keep management informed of competitive information such as new products, price books, and price changes. Work with customer service and the pricing team to resolve outstanding issues within 24 hours. Ensure implementation and compliance of major and national accounts initiatives and plant audits are completed in a timely fashion. Essential Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial/Packaging or related industry. Core competence across all product lines is required. Ability to think ahead and plan over 1-2 year time spans. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Sales and service systems development and deployment. Problem analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels. Technical skills in strategic and sales planning. Distributor training and development. Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills. Team-oriented with high performance standards and a professional appearance and behavior while representing IPG. Proficiency with CRM usage and sales tracking. Seniority level
