Credit & Trade Products Risk Vice President

Wealth Management Risk functions as a first line risk unit to support the Wealth Management business by assessing and managing risks associated with the offering of daily margined products to WM clients. The team is seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Credit & Trade Products Risk Vice President who will manage credit and product risk for the WM portfolio of lending and traded derivatives products by designing and implementing risk frameworks and leveraging data, analytics and technology to enhance risk assessment, mitigation and reporting. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional risk management and emerging practices, ensuring the firm remains ahead of market, regulatory and product evolution while continuing to put clients first. Position Responsibilities

Develop and implement methodologies to identify and quantify emerging risks Introduce innovative, AI-assisted techniques for counterparty credit assessment and predictive analytics to manage client risk Champion the use of AI and automation to improve risk identification and real-time monitoring Collaborate with Products, Platforms and Risk to deliver coordinated and rationalized risk approaches across channels and products Integrate risk metrics into a risk appetite framework to enable the WM business to assess the economics of engaging in client transactions Contribute to tactical client risk management activities by supporting Advisors with prospective credit-bearing transactions, underwriting credit extensions and remediating excess exposures Experience

Bachelors in Finance or related field 8-10 years of experience in credit risk and/or product risk management Strong knowledge of derivative products and associated risk drivers Experience with risk modeling, stress testing methodologies and exposure management Familiarity with regulatory requirements for lending, securities and derivatives Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders Track record of successfully launching new risk frameworks or tools Skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
