Slalom Flex (Project Based) Senior Data Analyst Location:
Denver, Stamford, St. Louis Metro Area This role is not eligible for fully remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Denver, Stamford, or St. Louis metro area. What Youll Do
Leverage advanced non-machine-learning techniques to analyze complex datasets, craft compelling narratives from findings, and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders. Understand the Problem
Collaborate with client management to define, scope, and refine analytic problem statements. Apply domain expertise in cable/telecom to quickly grasp business issues and data context. Develop analytic approach plans in partnership with stakeholders. Get the Data
Identify and interpret key attributes and metrics central to reliability analysis. Extract data using SQL from client data warehouses; prepare analyses using Excel and BI tools. Create visualizations, tables, and pivot reports using client reporting platforms. Proactively identify and address data quality and assumption issues. Analyze the Data
Apply foundational techniques such as correlation analysis, statistical checks, and exploratory visualizations. Mitigate causal inference challenges using appropriate methods (e.g., regression to the mean, selection bias). Ensure rigorous treatment of units and derived metrics to maintain analytic integrity. Assemble, Review, and Present
Synthesize findings into clear, compelling narratives supported by visuals. Present insights via PowerPoint with attention to formatting, clarity, and organizational sensitivity. Solicit feedback and iterate presentations for maximum impact. What Youll Bring
Strong domain knowledge of the cable/telecom industry and a passion for solving business-critical problems through data. Proven experience in data analytics, preferably in cable/telecom or related industries. Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Excel and BI tools. Excellent communication and storytelling skills. Familiarity with statistical concepts and causal inference techniques. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Consulting experience preferred. About Us
