Design and develop scalable, secure web applications using Symfony and modern PHP principles. Architect modular systems using dependency injection and service-oriented design. Build and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate with internal services and external partners. Monitor and optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement efficient solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform improvements, new features, and strategic initiatives. Contribute to software development best practices, including testing, documentation, and clean code standards. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the engineering team. Support the integration of internal systems, including inventory management, payment processing, and reporting tools. Responsibilities

5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years using the Symfony PHP framework in production. Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, architectural design, and clean code principles. Proven experience designing and consuming APIs, with strong knowledge of authentication protocols and integration patterns. Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and query optimization. Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and containerized development (e.g., Docker). Ability to independently access and analyze data; SQL proficiency or an engineering/technical mindset that supports self-sufficiency is strongly preferred. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with comfort working across teams in a fast-paced environment. Bonus: Experience in hospitality, e-commerce, or platform engineering; familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue). About Vacatia
