We are the Platform Security Business Quality Engineer (QE) team at ServiceNow, within the Platform Security domain, playing a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and functionality of the ServiceNow platform's security features. What You Get To Do In This Role Maintain and enhance existing automated testing frameworks Design and execute comprehensive test plans, including automation Collaborate with developers to define targeted testing strategies for new features Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics from test execution Support engineering teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues in applications and test environments Qualifications Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. Proven ability to evaluate and thoughtfully integrate AI into workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating processes, analyzing AI-generated insights, or assessing AI’s broader impact on teams or industries. 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with strong hands-on skills in Java programming, using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG. 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in JavaScript scripting, with experience using development tools like Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, and Git. Solid understanding of a wide range of testing techniques (e.g., unit, integration, performance, automation), including when and how to apply each method effectively. Skilled in using technical tools such as IDEs, debuggers, build tools, version control systems, profilers, ServiceNow instances, and Unix/system administration utilities to support daily engineering tasks. Experience leading or participating in cross-team technical discussions, with a strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles. Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with an understanding of SDLC concepts Compensation and Benefits (Location-Dependent) For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $112,800 - $191,800, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. The base pay shown is a guideline, and total compensation will vary based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.
