The Data Architect will design, implement, and maintain robust data infrastructure to support our organizations data-driven initiatives. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, data modeling, data processing, Python programming, and database SQL/PLSQL scripting. The Data Architect will shape the architecture of our data platform, build and optimize data models, and standardize efficient ETL processes while ensuring data quality and governance. This position also involves automation and scripting tasks to support data operations. Note: Invitation Homes does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship for this role at this time. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive and scalable data models that align with business requirements and objectives. Collaborate with data architects and Analysts/Information Engineers to optimize data models for performance and analytical use. Regularly review and enhance existing data models to accommodate evolving business needs and long-term sustainability. Design, develop, and deploy ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data lake platform. Gather data integration requirements from business stakeholders and ensure ETL workflows meet processing needs. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to maintain data integrity and minimize downtime. Manage and configure data processing workflows orchestration using enterprise schedulers like AWS Airflow. Leverage Python and SQL to construct data extraction, transformation, and loading frameworks; craft scripts using PowerShell and Unix shell for end-to-end automation. Build reusable scripts to automate code deployment (CI/CD) across environments. Develop scripts to manage and migrate infrastructure as code (IAC) using Python/Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Implement data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security; participate in data quality initiatives and promote best practices. Automate code reviews based on organizational standards and contribute to standardization guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of professional development experience in enterprise-scale data warehousing, data engineering, and data lake solutions. 3+ years in Data Modeling (Dimensional Modeling, Normalized models, or related approaches). Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (AWS Glue, DBT, SSIS, Apache Spark, Informatica). 3+ years hands-on experience with modern columnar data platforms (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse). Extensive experience with SQL/PLSQL scripting, dynamic programming, and performance tuning. 3+ years using Python for data engineering solutions. Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Control-M, AutoSys, etc.). 3+ years working on cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and related services (Glue, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, MWAA, etc.). Strong understanding of core infrastructure components (servers, network, storage). Experience with Git and collaborative development in an agile environment. Experience building analytic solutions for Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and Marketing in an enterprise setting.

Attention to detail and accuracy; ability to collaborate and build consensus. Continuous learning mindset for current and emerging technologies. Experience with data quality management in a data warehouse. Experience with Salesforce and Yardi in real estate domain is highly desirable. Experience working in large teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Work Environment and Benefits

Standard office environment; may be busy and noisy at times. Salary range: $118,800.00 - $205,920.00, plus potential annual discretionary bonus; actual compensation depends on skills and location.
