Overview

As an Electrical Responsible Engineer (RE) Project Associate in the Nuclear Power Group, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and support project(s) consisting of engineers, designers, project controls and scheduling professionals involved in the electrical facility updates, design, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant modifications. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments / Stakeholders to coordinate the life cycle of project execution. This RE position will also provide the opportunity to lead efforts in our growing a nuclear power team. Work will primarily be onsite at either power plant with limited remote support. RE services to include support during the pre-construction phase (i.e., the time between modification Approval and construction start) installation, turnover and closeout. Responsibilities

Work on diverse projects that cover the following five (5) main areas: Project Definition & Planning; EC Design Support; Procurement; and Mandatory Project Closeout. Project Definition & Planning: Interfacing with Project Sponsors and Plant Stakeholders; participating in Plant Health Committees; preparing Budgetary Engineering Range Estimates; preparing Preliminary Engineering Schedules; interfacing with Site Construction for Site Investigations and Walkdowns; stakeholder interface; EC meeting coordination; EC Review and Processing. Procurement: Coordination of Stakeholders & Meetings; Vendor Interface and Coordination; participation in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), as needed; Field Engineering; participation in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT); Field Change Request (FCR) Reviews and Processing; completion of mandatory Project Turnovers. Mandatory Project Closeout: Drawing Updates (Record) Coordination; coordination of Vendor Technical Manual updates; coordination of FLOC / MUT / EMUT updates; SGI record drawing mark-ups; interface with Site Stakeholders and Vendors; verification of Procedure and other document revisions. RE tasks: lead design and technical interface between the customer, the EOC and Vendor(s); travel to vendor sites for FAT oversight and system understanding; serve as technical interface between the owner and vendors; perform reviews and provide guidance on BOMs; support construction staff with engineering questions; perform field walkdowns; attend and support turnover meetings; track, manage, and complete project actions; schedule development and review; testing plan development and review; coordinate external relationships with consultants/contractors; execute projects across plant stakeholders, guiding through all phases of engineering design, installation, turnover and closeout; monitor safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client relations; identify and control project risk; review design calculations and drawings; ensure adherence to corporate policies and required standards; be on site for construction coordination and field verification; travel to vendor offices for design reviews. Qualifications

ABET- accredited electrical engineering degree Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams 6 or more years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear, industrial, or DOE facilities 6 or more years of experience in project management/project coordination System Engineering experience a plus Experience in managing small, medium to large critical projects Extensive knowledge and applied experience in all aspects of project CAD, 3D, engineering design Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate staff Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in providing guidance, mentoring, and training to staff engineers Accredited training in Intergraph, SMART 3D, Software applications Valued but not required skills and experience: conversant in software applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SAP, etc.); design and/or construction experience; experience in coordinating the development of new products for engineering teams; project schedule and budget development and management.
