We\u2019re looking for a sharp, driven, and experienced VP of Lending to join our US team. This senior role will lead our end-to-end underwriting operations, own key partnerships with brokers and financial entities, and play a strategic role in growing our loan pipeline and winning competitive deals. The VP of Lending will ensure that every loan we underwrite is not only compliant and sound but also strategically aligned with our investment thesis. This is a hands-on, managerial role with a direct impact on deal volume, quality, and investor trust. Responsibilities
Oversee all underwriting processes and standards across the platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement Manage and mentor our analyst and underwriting team to uphold high-quality deal assessments and minimize errors Build and refine internal processes for credit risk evaluation, borrower assessment, and ongoing loan monitoring Provide insight on market trends and borrower behavior to help guide broader investment strategy and pricing models Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance underwriting tools, reporting, and automation capabilities Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, lenders, originators, and other deal sources to drive top-of-funnel deal flow and position Atlas as the preferred lender Create and implement financial tools, reporting mechanisms, business modeling, and financial planning processes that will effectively scale with the companys growth Requirements
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners Team player, self-managed, independent, and process-oriented 7+ years of experience in real estate lending, underwriting, or credit - preferably in bridge lending, private debt, or CRE Strong understanding of loan structuring, risk mitigation, borrower diligence, and market dynamics Proven managerial experience leading high-performing analyst or credit teams Track record of working with brokers or external deal partners to generate consistent deal flow Position: Full Time Location: New York, U.S. (hybrid) How to apply
