Director of Accreditation & Regulation

to lead institutional and programmatic accreditation efforts across our campuses and programs. This is a high-impact role that ensures our academic offerings meet the highest standards of excellence and integrity. Responsibilities

Lead approval processes for new programs and campuses with accrediting and regulatory bodies (e.g., CCNE, HLC, CSWE, CEPH, state boards). Develop and submit self-study reports; oversee site visits and program/location reviews. Serve as primary liaison with state boards of nursing during initial applications. Compliance & Advocacy Ensure programs meet accreditation and regulatory standards in collaboration with academic and operations leaders. Evaluate the impact of proposed innovations on compliance and accreditation. Support interdisciplinary and international program compliance with the Healthcare Vertical. Monitoring & Communication Track and communicate legislative developments affecting accreditation and licensing. Maintain data on certification, accreditation, and licensure requirements. Monitor regulatory changes and build relationships with agencies in coordination with Adtalem’s Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel. Content & Curriculum Oversight Ensure accuracy of the university catalog and coordinate distribution with marketing. Participate in curriculum development to align with state and professional standards. Support faculty and staff orientation on accreditation processes. Institutional Engagement Serve as an ex-officio member on university committees to advise on regulatory standards. Participate in assessment activities that support accreditation. Complete additional duties as assigned. What You Bring

Proven leadership in accreditation and regulatory affairs Deep understanding of higher education compliance standards Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders Qualifications

Education

Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution (required) Master’s degree in Nursing (required) Professional Experience

Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in nursing education and accreditation Minimum 10 years as a faculty member in higher education Significant experience in academic assessment and accreditation within higher education Proven success in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines Skills & Expertise

Strong organizational, research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve strategic goals Deep understanding of accreditation criteria and regulatory standards Proficiency in computer databases, spreadsheets, and statistical applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Skilled in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization Travel

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,171.61 and $175,761.85. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
