Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Lead discovery and design efforts to further enhance Financial data systems or processes. Leverage Finance and Accounting experience to translate systems feedback from end users into requirements for Engineering. Execute change management, including moderating operating committee forums to keep executives and cross-functional systems decision-makers informed of roadmaps and project status, development and testing outcomes, and production support issues. Partner with stakeholders to get things done, from Finance and Accounting to Business Operations and Engineering. Evaluate financial data systems as a part of ecosystem within Google Cloud, producing documentation and process flows, identifying opportunities for new features, process automation, and risk-mitigating controls. Build comprehension of Financial data systems as evidenced by the ability to recommend improvements and troubleshoot production issues. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, or Finance transformation. 3 years of experience writing SQL scripts and navigating datasets and pipelines. Experience with financial data systems architecture and controls, including working with financial statements and journal entries. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, and influencing executive leaders. Preferred qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Chartered Accountant (CA). Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and audits. Experience in applying statistical methods, SQL, dashboard design with excellent data analysis skills. Understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, S4 Hana) standard Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financials and Payroll business processes. Understanding of GAAP accounting principles, including business recognition. Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve issues, and work with engaging priorities and stakeholder management.
