Director of Finance - EC
Montage International is seeking a Director of Finance - EC. The role reports as a member of the hotel’s Executive Team and functions as the hotel’s strategic financial business leader, championing, developing and implementing hotel-wide strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests, associates, co-workers and owners. Overview
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the hotel’s financial operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with GAAP and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, and alignment with local, state and federal laws. Essential Functions
Creates and executes a business plan aligned with the hotel’s business strategy with a primary focus on financial and accounting activities and delivery of financial results Ensures hotel/resort books and records are in compliance with GAAP, the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, and applicable laws Ensures all periodic reports are prepared and distributed in a timely and accurate manner Develops a trusting and effective partnership with property ownership by understanding operating agreements and owners ROI expectations Hires, develops and retains a diverse workforce to provide strong financial leadership Creates and sustains a work environment focused on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance required CPA Certification preferred but not required 5-7 years of accounting and finance management experience in a hotel Strong communication/presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing) Strong financial and business acumen Multi-entity financial management experience Strong organization/analytical and problem solving skills Proficiency with standard software applications and hotel systems; technology-savvy Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect departments Able to effectively manage labor productivity Able to effectively manage owner relations Strong understanding and ability to implement an effective internal control environment Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment. The pay scale for the Director of Finance is $160,000 to $190,000. This is the base salary range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
