Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in high-performance microprocessor architecture, microarchitecture, performance and design. Experience in high-performance CPU architecture and CPU blocks. Experience in performance modeling, analysis, correlation, and workload characterization. Experience with C/C++ and scripting languages. Preferred qualifications

Master\'s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture. Experience with system software components, such as Linux, drivers, and runtime. Knowledge of processor instruction set architecture (e.g., ARM, RISC-V, x86). About the job

Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering performance, efficiency, and integration. As a Senior CPU Architecture and Performance Architect, you will be the key contributor to improve processor instruction set architecture, develop innovative microarchitecture features, and deliver Google\'s advanced System on a Chip (SoC) products. You will collaborate with Android and AI teams to plan and conduct application and benchmark performance analysis, projecting performance across design phases. You will guide CPU architects and work with power, thermal, security, and physical design teams to determine the CPU subsystem configuration and features. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Deliver solutions to complex problems that may be ambiguous or lack precedent, including CPU performance, microarchitecture design, tool infrastructure, and methodology. Plan, drive, and evaluate architecture features from both architecture and performance angles. Define and write CPU subsystem architecture specifications. Lead collaboration with RTL, design verification, and physical design teams to develop high-performance and efficient CPU implementations. Drive performance correlation between the performance model and RTL, and triage pre-silicon and post-silicon performance bugs.
