Temporary SharePoint Project Manager

Seattle Art Museum . The Temporary SharePoint Manager will lead SAMs migration from its on-premises SharePoint 2016 intranet to SharePoint Online while overseeing the hybridization of document storage for cloud-based collaboration. This role ensures the project is planned, executed, and adopted with minimal disruption to operations. Youll contribute by: Auditing the existing SharePoint 2016 environment and on-premises storage, including custom features and department-specific sites. Mapping current functionalities and workflows to SharePoint Online and identifying gaps/solutions. Developing and executing a phased migration plan for intranet sites and document repositories, ensuring security, data integrity, and hybrid collaboration capabilities. Coordinating with IT to implement synchronization tools, maintain parity between cloud and on-premises files, and mitigate risks such as downtime or data loss. Designing templated intranet SharePoint sites for departments to house shared and private content. Engaging stakeholders to assess needs, prioritize phases, and align workflows and permissions. Providing post-migration support, training, and documentation for staff on SharePoint Online and hybrid file access. Advising on compliance, access management, and backup protocols for the hybrid environment. FLSA STATUS:

$60$70/hour DOE Work Schedule
This temporary role is scheduled for standard business hours, MondayFriday, with flexibility required for project deadlines. Evening or alternate hours may occasionally be required to support migration activities. Benefits

A technically skilled, detail-oriented project manager with expertise in SharePoint and hybrid migrations. Youll bring: Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of project management experience, including hybrid cloud migrations or SharePoint/data storage integrations. Proven expertise with SharePoint 2016/Online, hybrid storage solutions (Azure File Sync, OneDrive/SharePoint integration), and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools. Familiarity with data governance in hybrid environments. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project, Jira). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently with discretion in handling sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Asana, Slack, and online research. Ability to pass and maintain a security background check. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a museum, nonprofit, or large corporate setting. PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification. Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP). Work Conditions

Primarily indoors in climate-controlled spaces, including server rooms and IT work areas. Stationary Work:
About 80% at a desk; 20% moving throughout the work area. Communication:
