Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.Net) at Worldpay Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.Net) role at Worldpay. What Youll Own / Responsibilities
Lead technical designs of new features and services, involving investigations, code analysis and close collaboration with partner teams. Deliver high quality features, contributing to design, development, testing and release. Participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements. Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps and others to brainstorm and select best solutions within system constraints. Participate in code reviews and maintain high quality standards. Assist with investigation of live system issues and propose root-cause solutions. Mentor junior team members. Attend SAFe/Agile ceremonies. Assess impacts of architectural direction on Security, Availability, Performance, Maintainability and Scalability. Engage in performance tuning activities and seek opportunities to improve platform performance. Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and modifications as needed. What Youll Bring / Qualifications
9+ years of experience delivering software solutions in either consumer or enterprise space. 7+ years of experience in .NET and related frameworks. 5+ years of system design experience. Experience with Kafka, business drivers, and emerging computing trends. Experience deploying distributed apps/services on Azure. Bachelors Degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or related field. Strong understanding of Agile software development. Experience with cloud-based services (Azure and AWS) from .NET and designing/coding microservice APIs targeting .NET 6 and higher. Experience with cloud strategies for scalable, resilient, secure architectures using Azure and hybrid environments. Knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift for managing containerized workloads and ensuring high availability. Nice to have
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong technical design, problem solving and debugging skills. Self-driven with ability to tackle ambiguous technical challenges. Ability to drive internal engineering conversations on strategy for Azure Data Services and own input end to end. Prior experience leading cloud migration projects in regulated industries.
