Overview
The Director, Food Service Channel Strategy is accountable for developing and executing differentiated, insight-drive channel strategies across all major food service segments—including Fast Casual, Full Service Restaurants (FSR), and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)—to deliver on annual and long-range growth objectives for FSOP. This leader builds value propositions, planning tools, and activation frameworks that empower customer teams to fulfill Coca-Cola’s customer promise and drive sustainable growth. A highly cross-functional leader, this role partners with insights, marketing, sales and category teams across the Coca-Cola System. The Director, Food Service Channel Strategy works in close collaboration with the Consumer & Occasion Strategy Lead, leveraging scalable consumer and occasion frameworks as well as timely, actionable insights to ensure all Food Service strategies are deeply rooted in evolving consumer behavior and market opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Set and drive the overarching consumer backed strategy, vision, and “must do’s” for Fast Casual, Full Service Restaurants (FSR), and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) segments, ensuring alignment with consumer, customer, and system priorities. Develop and continuously refine agile, holistic growth plans and value propositions for each segment, integrating scalable occasion-based frameworks, journey maps, and macrotrends in close partnership with the Consumer & Occasion Strategy Lead. Translate consumer, marketplace, and channel insights into actionable, future-focused “so what” narratives and fit-for-purpose solutions for customer teams. Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, RGM, category, and customer marketing partners to ensure unified, consumer-centric planning and execution. Align resources, investments, and tools to high-impact opportunities, managing budgets and deployment to maximize commercial outcomes. Measure and assess the effectiveness of channel strategies, value bundles, and programming—using results and agile feedback loops to refine plans and inform investment decisions. Serve as a strategic thought partner and internal consultant to customer teams, removing barriers, resolving conflicts, and championing business agility, continuous learning, and creative problem solving. Champion the adoption of Collaborative Business Planning (CBP) and “Collaborating for Value” disciplines to align value bundles and initiatives with consumer and guest opportunities. Lead the pull-through and scaling of test-and-learn pilots, ensuring that successful, insight-driven approaches are rapidly adopted across channels. Qualifications
Proven ability to develop and execute strategies across multiple foodservice segments (QSR, Fast Casual, FSR). Strong strategic, holistic, and systemic thinking with the ability to move from vision to action and deliver measurable results. Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, communication, and influencing skills. Experience leading teams or projects in matrixed environments. Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills. Deep passion for customer growth, consumer behavior, and driving FSOP success. 7-10+ years of progressive experience in channel strategy, customer marketing, brand/category marketing, or commercial planning in the foodservice, CPG, or beverage industries. BA required, MBA preferred. Skills
